newWaveX™ encapsulates IEEE Std. 1641 (Signal & Test Definition) in a graphically based signal and measurement modelling tool. Test signals are defined using drag and drop signal definitions and connecting together Basic Signal Components (BSCs), adjusting their properties as required. newWaveX™ provides IEEE 1641 standard VBS sample code, illustrating the use of the standard's IDL specification, and provides standard output in XML format.
newWaveX™ provides simulation of signal designs using an efficient DirectX™ based IEEE 1641 simulation engine, verified against the standard's Signal Modelling Language. It provides support for creating TSFs that conform to IEEE1641. Output is provided in the XML form specified by the standard. newWaveX™ is then able to both generate static data for digital memory devices and directly drive DAC/ADC devices with dynamic signal data.
